If I could give this dealership negative stars I would. We got a Hybrid last night not knowing much about them and the sales lady didn't tell us much about them. We didn't know what to ask either, but she could've educated us more on them and helped us make a better decision. There are only 30 miles on it, prob 60 by the time we would have driven it back. We do not want the vehicle we got and they don't seem to want a HAPPY customer. Granted we should have researched a little more on our own but all they wanted to do was close a sale. I will never go back to them again and will make sure everyone I know and come in contact with doesn't go to them either.
They are not customer focused and only do what they need to do for their bottom line. Horrible business practice by not being customer focused. There are a ton of other places to go. Stay away from Tate in Frederick.
This saddens me because Christine was phenomenal and so was the overall attentiveness of my issue. My name is Tiffany and my Jeep was serviced 23 October for a suspected dead aux battery. I was seen right away, replaced both batteries, and spent a total of $698 out of pocket because the Jeep is not under warranty. This Jeep has only ever been to a dealership one time before for non electrical work and I am disappointed in the condition the service technician left it in. This is shameful to leave anyone’s vehicle like this. I am going out of town and have made an appointment for next week. I expect my Jeep to come back to me physically in the same condition I gave it to you. I rushed to get out of there without noticing because I had been there for 4 hours waiting.
I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for this. It’s disappointing.
Tate was amazing to work with in the purchase of our new car. Everything was seamless in the purchase. Financing was very straightforward on our options. Sales team was particularly impressive to me - when I didn't understand how to work something and came back it was two other sales guys than the one who sold it to us who helped me. You get the feeling it's truly a family there. I highly recommend for both new car sales and used.
The worst car purchasing experience I have ever had. I purchased this car from this dealership but I live out of state, in NC . It has been over 60 days and I still can’t get my car registered in NC because the dealership refuses to provide me with the forms I need in my state. Not to mention that when I transported the vehicle to me, the salesman forgot to include the temp tag so I couldn’t drive it for a week after it arrived. He told me her overnighted it multiple times and never did.
I call daily and get the run around, if I get an answer at all. I have had to file a formal complaint with the dmv of Maryland and I’m hoping they will be able to help. I currently have expired temporary tags for my new car with no projected date of when this is going to get taken care of. All I want is to get the proper documents from this dealership so that I can register the car in my name and never have to deal with this company again.
If you are thinking of buying a car - don’t do it from this dealership. Would give it negative stars if possible.
I bought a challenger rt from Virginia that needed $12k in fixes pretty much immediately. Christine worked with me and got me into my appointments immediately. She even went above and beyond to have Dodge cover some major expenses since my warranty wouldn’t cover it. I’m in an unfortunate situation with this car, but Christine and the dealership have been working with me to mitigate the bad situation and make it as easy as possible.
Stewart was very patient while I made a decision on my 2012 Toyota Camry. They had the best deal on warranty after calling around AND after looking around town these guys really gave me the best deal. This is the second time I have gotten a car from them for a great deal. My last car from them lasted me 6-7 years (08 Ford Fusion).
Only reviewing the service center... I had a lot of rust on my back rotors. The foreman took a quick look and said its not a problem and doesn't need to be replaced. I would never have known if they said it needed to be replaced. Secondly, my service reminder said i needed an engine air filter replacement. The mechanic told me I had one at my last service, so it wasn't necessary. Honesty is appreciated!
They left the oil drain plug hanging on by a thread after an oil change, which resulted in oil on the driveway. Could have been a much bigger problem if I hadn't noticed it. I sent an email to Evan Jones, service director per their "if you are less than satisfied with your service" text message, and he didn't bother responding. I've also had a poor experience here where they charged me for rotating and balancing my tires but never actually took them off the vehicle. They just slapped a couple more sticky weights next to the existing ones. I don't recommend having service performed at Tate Frederick.
